Hamptworth Country Fayre – Sunday 18th August 2013

On this the ninth successive year of the hugely popular Country Fayre, Hamptworth Lodge will be celebrating its centenary, making 2013 a very special year.

Over the years we have always maintained that a country fayre should be ‘just that’ and have never strayed from our original roots. 2013 will be no different in this regard and although we have a few surprises up our sleeve, the heart of the show will still include everybody’s favourites; the dog show, the hound parade, the gundog and falconry displays, the ferrets etc etc. In addition to all the above favourites, there will be craft demonstrations, have a go archery, have a go fly fishing, a 50 bird sporting clay shoot, plenty of trade stands and refreshments in abundance. If the weather is going to be anything like 2012, start queuing early for your ice creams and pints of cider !

Hamptworth Lodge will be open for viewing for a period during the morning. What better time to come and view than during its centenary.

We have new attractions aimed specifically at the younger generation and we think they’re going to love them. The first of these to be announced is a traditional Punch and Judy show with all the fabulous characters that come with it. There are further exciting announcements to follow. Watch this space !!!

This year, our chosen charity of support is the Combined Services Disabled Ski Team, a charitable organisation which helps to rehabilitate those serving and retired service personnel who have been injured during their military service, through the medium of Alpine Skiing.
